Love and Support for Kristen, Nick, and Solan

There are times in our lives when we need the strength of a entire village. We need the extra hands of aunties and the uncles, neighbors and friends; we need the presence of our community.  Periods of grief and sadness are one of the moments that require such support.  I am writing today to announce the loss of beloved Ruth Timchak, Kristen (k10) Timchak’s mother.

For many of us, the past two years have brought an array of tangible and spiritual challenges. Many of us struggled with our finances, our health, isolation, death and grief, our mental wellness, and more.  Moreover, we struggled with these matters alone. However, as the world returns to “normalcy” we may be able to offer our love and support in a more palpable and personal way. And this support may be able to help ease the pain.  

If you are in close proximity to our dear friend K10, please consider offering your love and support via childcare or a warm meal.  If these options are not possible, a small donation can help provide similar support.

 

All donations received will help K10, Nick, and Solan pay their imminent travel costs, gas, impending bills, food, childcare, medical bills and more.  Essentially, all donations received will help give K10 and her family the financial stability they need to  navigate through this difficult time.  They will give Kristen a safe space to properly process, adjust and grieve.

As many of you know, Ruth Timchak was a beautiful, loving, and devoted mother.  She had a zest, vitality, and strength in life that stayed with her to the final days.  Kristen embodies these values as well. She has her parents grace and tenacity, wisdom and humor, and their desire to live life to the fullest. Kristen is also known to live her life full of joy and with endless acceptance.  

As some of you may already know, Kristen has also lost her father. The unknown forces of the universe have now set Kristen on this new path in life, one which only a few of you may intimately know. May we all keep Kristen and her family in our hearts and remember Ruth Timchak while she embarks on her next journey.
