LOVE & SUPPORT FOR KATE & MATT

Hello friends, My name is Kelli Brisby (Ellison) and I am fundraising to provide support for my sweet friends, Kate Sopher and Matt Word, who lost their precious baby boy, Benjamin Walker.

 

Baby Ben was born on July 1, 2021, weighing 4 lbs 10 oz. Ben had to come a few weeks early and was born via emergency C-section. He was rushed to the NICU for care where he spent 9 days before finally being released to go home with his mom and dad. Kate and Matt had eagerly anticipated the arrival of their son and were ecstatic to have him home. They happily and quickly adapted to life as a family of three and Ben's space-themed nursery was nearly completed. Kate, Matt and Ben would unknowingly have just three precious weeks together. One month and two days after he was born, on August 3, 2021, Ben unexpectedly passed away. The heartbreak and devastation of losing Ben has left a hole in so many hearts. We grieve Ben's passing, and we grieve for Kate and Matt and the pain they endure. Their journey to cope with their immense loss and attempt to heal is long and arduous. With all of the expenses that have accumulated for Kate and Matt over the past couple of months, we have the opportunity to lighten their load and gift them financial support so they can focus on healing.

 

For anyone that knows Kate and Matt, their friendship is a gift. They are kind, thoughtful, genuine people who put so much love and positivity out into the world.
