Love and support for Jessica Mund and family

Hello family and friends of the Mund Family,

My name is Helena Phelps and I am a family friend of the Munds. In mid-January, Jessica (age 15) was diagnosed with a large tumor in her spinal cord. She was referred to Seattle Children’s Hospital where she is working with an amazing medical team. Pathology has determined that Jessica’s malignant tumor is very aggressive. It is treatable, but not curable. Jessica will undergo 6 weeks of radiation (5x/week) and chemotherapy simultaneously at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise. Jessica will then take part in a clinical trial at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The emotional load of this news is simply overwhelming. As you can imagine, all of this will be very costly, from the medical bills, hotel stays, travel back and forth to St. Luke’s and Seattle Children’s Hospitals, in addition to Julie and Marc’s time off from work. The last thing we want the Munds to worry about during this difficult time is money. The funds donated to this account will help support the Munds while Jessica undergoes treatment.
