Aloha LAS Team and friends,
It is with heavy hearts that we share that our teammate Elizabeth is grieving the heartbreaking loss of her newborn grandbaby Kiana Mili Koa-Hernandez. There are no words that can truly ease the pain of losing a child, and we know this is an unimaginable time of sorrow for her and her family.
During moments like this, we are reminded that we are more than just coworkers or friends — we are a family. Now is the time for us to come together and surround Elizabeth and her family with the love and support that defines our LAS station.
We would like to help ease any added stress so Elizabeth and her family can take the time she needs to be with her family and begin to process this profound loss. If you feel moved to contribute, please know that any amount — big or small — will make a meaningful difference. Most importantly, it will show her that she is not alone and that her LAS family is standing beside her.
Thank you all in advance for your compassion, kindness, and generosity. I will be collecting contributions and placing them in a card from all of us so Elizabeth can truly feel the love and support from her LAS family during this incredibly difficult time.
Let’s continue to lift each other up, especially when it matters most.
With gratitude,
-LAS Team
