Love and Support for Donnell L. Oakes - Home-going Service!
Donnell L. Oakes loved life! Although his life was not always easy, he made the best of his trials on his way to living a life filled with love, joy, and family -- bonded by blood and by choice.
On Sunday, August 29, 2021, Donnell's life was cut short in a tragic hit and run accident on the corner of Halsey Street and Marcus Garvey Boulevard in his beloved neighborhood of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Raised and reared only blocks away from this fatal site, Donnell b.k.a. Teflon Don loved his community -- Brooklyn -- All -The- Way. No one could have imagined that this untimely accident would be his fate.
Donnell leaves behind five children (ages range from 9 months - 28 yrs old) that will miss his words of guidance, laughter, quick comebacks, and love of music and his motorcycle family. He worked hard but he left this earth unexpectedly without life insurance and additional support is needed to fund his homegoing service. We thank you in advance for anything you can offer.
A viewing and homegoing service will be held on Thursday, September 9th from 4:00pm - 10:00pm. For more information or to rsvp to attend, please see video attached.
Donations both great and small are appreciated! Thank you
