Love and Support for Citadel Boxing

Donation protected
When I first signed up for boxing classes at Citadel boxing club I expected to walk in and witness a bunch of tough guys sparring.  Instead when I walked up the staircase leading into the gym and opened the door what I witnessed were a bunch of kids boxing with their parents there to watch them as Wayne Gordon took his time teaching them the proper techniques. It reminded me when I was a kid and though I didn't box I did however play both provincial basketball and baseball competitively which allowed me to travel province to province competing for championships. My father was a very proud man and travelling with me was his favourite thing to do. He also took care of some of my friends who were on the team who didn't have parents that could travel with them, so a lot of the time those kids would travel with us and we would share accommodations. Witnessing Wayne with these kids and being like a father figure to them made me think back to my coaches who were amazing people. Coaches like Wayne impact kids lives more than their own parents do at times. The importance of getting kids involved in sports is without a doubt probably the best thing we can do as parents. It teaches them hard work and discipline which are probably the two most important keys to success in my opinion. I think what Wayne does in sacrificing his time and talent for non profit to help these kids not only prepare to fight in the ring but to prepare themselves for life which can hit harder than any man or woman. I believe we should all pull together as a community and help the people who have always been there to help us and our children even when there wasn't anything in it for them. I wanted to start a go fund me page for Wayne and Citadel Boxing Club as I believe we need to save these places in these uncertain times. I think a little bit will go a long way and I am willing to donate 100 dollars off each car sale we make for the next 3 months to kick this go fund me page off in hopes that anybody who is in a position to still help out might be able to help in some sort of way. I know from meeting and getting to know Wayne his dream would be to have the best gym around and I am sure any extra money he did receive would without a doubt go right back into helping these kids out. So from the East Coast Financing Family we would like to say thank you to Wayne Gordon and Citadel boxing club for your countless selfless years of dedicating your time and passion to helping these kids find their way in life through boxing. Thank you!
