I’m reaching out on behalf of our dear friend, Chantal.

On March 11th, Chantal became very ill with what initially seemed like the flu. As the days passed, it became clear something was seriously wrong. She was rushed to the ER and quickly admitted to St. Paul’s Hospital, where she remains under close medical care.

Chantal is currently facing kidney failure, a dangerously elevated white blood cell count, septic blood infection and severe gastrointestinal complications. Her kidneys have improved but Doctors are still working to determine the exact cause and diagnosis.

Chantal is a self-employed therapist and a devoted single mother to two boys. She has always been someone who shows up for others, offering support, care, and compassion to those in need. Right now, she needs that same support from us.

At this time, there is no clear timeline for her release from the hospital. Once discharged, she will require physiotherapy and time to recover before she’s able to return to work.
