Hello, friends in Lewiston and beyond!
As many of you know, Amanda Six was diagnosed with breast cancer just before Christmas. She is scheduled for a double mastectomy, reconstruction, and physical therapy in March. Further testing will tell if she'll also need radiation, chemo and ovary removal. She is currently on a leave of absence from her job as a flight attendant due to the pandemic, and her husband will need to take at least two months off from work (unpaid) to care for their two kiddos, Eleanor (6) and Oliver (2), while she recovers.
If you've met Amanda you know it's not an exaggeration to say she is the most generous, kind, and thoughtful person in the entire world. She has touched us all with her joy and positivity and now is our chance to give back. Here's a few ideas for how we can come together to support Amanda and her lovely family through this transition:
