Hi, my name is Courtney, and I’m raising funds to support our household and finances as my friend Sarah bravely battles Stage 2 triple negative breast cancer. Sarah and I live at home together with our 4 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 sugar gliders, so our house is always full of love, energy, and a little bit of chaos lol. Our journey has been especially heavy because we’ve already experienced so much loss. Her dad, David, passed away while she was a young age, and lost Momma Kim on December 15th just a year ago. Navigating life without parents has been incredibly hard, and now facing cancer on top of that has been extremely overwhelming. Sarah also lives with muscular dystrophy and is non-ambulatory, relying on a wheelchair daily. She is currently recovering from a major emergent surgery, and our lives right now revolve around hospital visits, treatments, advocating for ADA accommodations, and doing everything possible to support her through this fight. The funds raised will go toward maintaining medical insurance, covering the many unexpected expenses that come with cancer treatment, and helping with emergency pet care while she is hospitalized and preparing for chemo. With everything happening at once, the emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming. Any donation, prayer, or share would mean more to us than we can express.
