Our dear friends Samantha and Chris are facing an unimaginable journey, and we want to help surround their family with all the love and support they deserve.

At just 36 years old, while pregnant with their baby boy, Nico, Samantha underwent emergency brain surgery mid August to remove a mass that was initially hoped to be benign. Instead, her family received the devastating news that she had a grade 4 glioblastoma.

Following her diagnosis, Samantha faced the difficult reality of needing to begin treatment while pregnant. As a result, their sweet baby boy Nico was born prematurely at just 27 weeks so Samantha could receive the treatment she urgently needed. Today, Nico remains in the NICU, working hard to grow stronger, while his parents navigate the challenges of his early arrival alongside Samantha’s cancer journey.

Since surgery, Samantha has completed 30 rounds of radiation and continues chemotherapy pills while working hard to regain her mobility. She faces ongoing MRI scans and an uncertain road ahead, all while adjusting to life as a new mom and fighting for her health.

Throughout this incredibly difficult time, Chris has been by Samantha’s side, providing her with 24/7 care and support. He is currently unable to work as he dedicates his time to caring for Samantha and being there for their family. With Samantha’s ongoing treatments and recovery, along with Nico’s continued stay in the NICU, the emotional and financial burdens on their family are immense.

No family should have to face so much at once, especially during what should be such a joyful chapter of their lives. As Samantha and Chris focus on treatment, recovery, and their precious baby boy, we hope to ease some of the financial stress so they can focus on what matters most: being together and fighting through each day.
