I am Amanda’s daughter, Megan. As I would have never imagined i’d have to do this, I am asking for support for my moms battle with cancer.

My mom has recently been diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer. This is her second battle with cancer in the past four years. Hearing the cancer has returned has our hearts aching. It’s been the scariest thing my family has ever had to go through. She has been given two to three years to live and only prayers can hope for otherwise. Most days it doesn’t feel real. She is fighting every day with so much strength and courage and I am so proud of my mommy but the treatments, appointments, and daily challenges have placed a heavy strain on our family.

My dad has had to take time off work to drive her to her appointments and be there for her care. While we wouldn’t trade this time together for anything, it has created financial stress. The funds raised here will go directly towards covering essential living expenses while my dad is off work, helping with the cost of medications and treatments not fully covered and supporting my moms comfort and quality of life during this time.

We are so beyond grateful for any help, whether that’s through a donation, sharing this page with others or simply just a prayer for my mommy. Your kindness will allow my mom to focus on what matters most, spending time with loved ones and making the most of everyday.

I live in another province and can’t always be there in person, so this fundraiser is one way I can support my family and help ease their financial stress.
