updated: since starting this fundraiser, our beloved Janet has passed on. At this time our focus as a family is grieving this impossible loss, and fulfilling her end of life wishes. She hoped to be cremated, and we will be using all remaining funds for her preparations.

For the past 5 years, our lovely Janet has been fighting breast and lung cancer. She went into remission 3 times after battling through unimaginably difficult chemo and radiation treatments. Her number one priority has always been her family, but these last few years it’s been fighting for her life day in- day out.

Recently, she was diagnosed with bone cancer, and has received a prognosis of 4-6 months. We are still processing this as a family, and doing our best to understand how this could possibly be the reality we have to face.

As you can imagine, this has been costly, and unfortunately the disability benefits don’t begin to cover even the minimum of living expenses.

Spending all of her time, energy, and money on doctors appointments/copays, meals, medication for pain management, and preparations is far less than she deserves after all she has given to others her whole life. She deserves to take these next steps forward with as much peace and dignity as we can give her.

Our goal is to have any additional stressors and worries relieved. It’s time for her to focus on time with her sisters, her children, and the light of her life— her first granddaughter, Madalynn. With some extra support financially to go toward basic necessities like bills, food, and fulfilling wishes for preparations.
