Hi, my name is Shannon, and I’m the heart and hands behind Thathairgirl — a hairstylist, a dreamer, and most importantly, a mother whose journey has been shaped by both passion and pain.

For years, doing hair has been more than just a job for me — it’s been my therapy, my gift, and my calling. Every strand I touch is part of someone’s story, and helping people feel beautiful, inside and out, has always been my mission.

But behind the chair, I’ve carried the weight of deep personal loss. I lost my son — my light, my reason, my everything. Grief tried to silence me, but instead, it pushed me to pour even more love into what I do. This dream — opening my very own salon suite in Arlington — is born from that love. It’s more than a business; it’s my way of healing, honoring my son, and building something lasting that uplifts others.
