Love and Healing for the Hall Family

Hey there! I'm Melinda Britton, a longtime friend of Liz and David. I've created this fund as a place where we can join together to put our love and prayers for the Hall family into action by providing financial donations as they navigate this unexpected time.

 

On February 14, 2022, Liz and David welcomed their son earthside at their home after a long and beautiful birth. The joy and relief they both felt were quickly joined with concerns for their son. During the newborn exam by their Homebirth Midwife (CPM), she discovered that baby had been born with an imperforate anus. While most families are bonding, recovering, and exhaling in the early postpartum hours, Liz and David were navigating the local ER, updating family, and packing for Liz and baby to fly to the University of Michigan Hospital via a medical flight. Liz and baby arrived safe and sound at UofM, and their dear friend, Benny, drove David down to Ann Arbor through the night. Because everything was so urgent, Liz and David had to wait to name their son after reuniting at UofM Hospital. They chose the name, Oliver.

 

While at UofM, Oliver has undergone various tests, has seen many doctors and specialists, and had surgery to correct the imperforate anus. Thankfully his body responded well to surgery, but he will continue to need follow-up appointments and care. As you can imagine, the number of medical bills, travel expenses, unexpected lodging/food costs, and loss of income have begun to pile up over the last week. In a time that would often be postpartum baby bliss, the Hall's are having to face additional challenges that most of us can't even imagine. As their faith in God carries them through, we can help bring some relief to them so they can focus on caring for Oliver as they bond and heal together as a family.

 

Oliver was created in love and born on the day we celebrate love - thank you for loving Liz, David, and Oliver through this. All of your generous donations will go directly to the Hall's and will be used to cover current and future medical bills for Oliver, transportation, lodging, and any additional expenses that they encounter during this journey.
