Love and healing for Louie

Aanii Hello. My name is Lisa Peltier.

This is my nephew Louie and his dad Keith. Many of you know Keith. Keith and Louie are at London Ontarios Children's Hospital down South. Louie had been in the hospital since May 16th this year. Louie is undergoing treatment due to being diagnosed with Neuro Blastoma Cancer. What is Neuroblastoma cancer you ask? It is a type of cancer that occurs most often in children under 5 years of age that starts in early nerve cells called neuroblasts. Normally these immature cells grow into working nerve cells but in neuroblastoma they grow uncontrollably and become cancer cells that form a solid tumor. Louie completed 5 cycles of chemotherapy and radiation already. The tumor did get smaller amd Louies body did tolerate the chemotherapy but he is scheduled for surgery next. This Thursday Louie will undego surgery to remove what cancer remains without damaging anything else. It will take months still for radiation treatment to fight what cancer is left and Louies body will need to heal itself so it is strong enough to keep fighting until there is no more cancer. Louie has 2 sisters in Thunder Bay who cannot be by his side and they all miss each other dearly. Only Keith has been by Louies side. Louie and Keith need your love your prayers for healing and strength.
