If you are lucky enough to know Joe, you know that he is one of the best huggers out there. His hugs go deep into our hearts and fill us with love, joy and gratitude. 

On Saturday, May 15th Joe was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance with severe chest pain. Our hearts are all with him as he courageously awaits major surgery at  Victoria Hospital in London, Ont. due to a spontaneous pneumothorax (a collapsed lung).

Days before being rushed to the hospital, Joe was in the midst of grieving the loss of his mother,  Teresita Torrefranca who passed on Thursday, May 6. from Covid. 

Recovery from surgery, grieving the bereavement of his mother, and managing logistics of his mothers estate, is a set of responsibilities no one should have to bear while also trying to hold a job and pay rent. 

These are trying times for everyone and there is no expectation but to send your love and support to Joe. However, if you have a small amount to spare to help alleviate the weight of stress off of Joe's shoulders, there is no amount too small. 

Joe is one of the kindest, most humble and compassionate human beings; all with a beam of sunshine for a smile. 

Let's help him heal, come home and take the much needed respite he deserves.
