Hi my name is Bhavna and I am fund raising for my friend Richa.

Richa is going through a lot. She got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer recently and had two major surgeries within 3 weeks. She has been in ICU for most of that time and ends up with a new complication every few days. She has had her pancreas removed which has made her diabetic and she will need to rely on insulin for all her life. She is still in the hospital, unable to work. Her husband has been there for her every day in the hospital trying to juggle between caring for her and their son. He has not been able to go back to work since the day of her surgery. Their 9 year old son is missing his mother a lot and is getting worried about her day by day as she is still not home. She is very brave and a fighter. Even when she comes home it will be a long journey for her ahead. We can only hope and pray for her so she recovers and returns home as quickly as possible. But we can also help her financially so she can stop worrying about their bills/mortgages while she is still at hospital and can concentrate on getting better. All of this money will help her in the long run to get her medications and new equipment including sugar monitoring devices and insulin pumps which can cost upto 12000$. We are grateful for all the help, support and kindness that everyone has shown so far and it continues!
