Love and Caring for Mathew and Lusher Family
Donation protected
Hi, everyone! I'm Jenn, Christina's younger sister. I'm setting up this GoFundMe for a way to support Mathew and the Lusher Family. The Lusher family is loved tremendously by people from all over the country and we can't be there in person, but we can support them monetarily, due to Frank and Christina unable to be at work, arranging care for their three other children, accumulating medical costs, and provide any other support they need during this stressful time, so that they can have a primary focus on Mathew's healing.
Frank and Christina's 3rd child, Mathew, has been receiving care in the ICU in Arizona. His diagnosis and care plan has continually been evolving. From an initial diagnosis of Hand-Foot-Mouth disease when his symptoms began with a full-body rash and fever at a clinic, to potentially a complicated bacterial pneumonia. He later experienced vomiting and continuous fevering.
Chest x-rays revealed pneumonia and abnormal findings outside of his lungs. He did test negative for COVID. He has had surgical drains placed and has been on antibiotics--which haven't been fully effective in allowing Mathew to fully recover. He has required oxycodone for pain at times. Despite the current course of treatment, he is still experiencing fevers and his doctor's are now exploring other potential causes, such as fungal.
Dad and Mom (Frank and Christina) have been able to stay with him--one at a time due to COVID restrictions.
Please consider blessing the Lusher family, as well as keeping Mattie and their family in your prayers. If you are unable to provide monetary support, please consider just simply sharing this on your personal pages--which would also be tremendous support.
Thank you, thank you! From the bottom of our heart, your contribution is so appreciated, and the Lusher family is so truly grateful!

Updates from Christina:
March 11th:
Not out of the woods yet . It’s not draining as well as they had hoped, still getting fevers. They changed up his antibiotics in hopes that will break up the gunk more to help it drain. Surgery is not off the table if the antibiotics don’t work. Thank you for everyone’s continued prayers and support.
March 10th:
Thank you everyone for your continued thoughts, prayers and gifts. Great news, the tube is in and they were able to drain both areas. He’ll have the tube in for a couple days and be on some good antibiotics. He’s getting some much needed rest now
Couple hours later: Back in his room. Pain comes and goes in waves. He’s on motrin and Tylenol for pain. He looks and sounds so much better already and he’s a little chatter box which I love!
March 9th:
We are sincerely overwhelmed by the love, support, prayers and good thoughts sent by our friends family and community. Our youngest son Matty checked into TMC yesterday for bacterial pneumonia. It’s in his right lower lung and has two areas just outside that which l are also filled with fluid. Tomorrow he’ll get those areas drained and hopefully the antibiotics will work a lot better. Right now his body is working a little harder to get oxygen but his levels are fantastic. He’s our tough little guy and is in good spirits. All of your continued thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
