My name is Melissa K. and less than 4 months ago, I was given a very special kitty, his name is Tocco and he is 3 yrs. old. He is a Tabby and he has some maine coone mixed in. He was named by his previous owner. His name is Tocco because his name means "touch" in Italian. He loves to be touched, petted, stroked and to be ever so close to me at all times. He follows me around all over, he loves snuggling at night and watching "tv" on my phone; cat videos and more! He is super smart! He even knows how to scroll through my phone. He has had an unfortunate situation happen to him. He has been experiencing constipation, bowel issues where his colon has stopped moving and assisting him in elimination. He has been very lethargic, decreased appetite and meowing more like he was needing help, this boy loves to eat! We had a vet appointment, we knew there was a problem but had no idea what was about to happen. We are still very uncertain of his long term prognosis. He had to have emergency surgery which was very unexpected, I never imagined my new cat, as young as he is would already have the issues that Tocco has had. He is too sweet! I had to give him a fighting chance since he is still so very young. When the doctor called me he said what he was finding was not great but he would try to not have to do a resection of his colon or his gut, I had to wait this out. Thankfully he was able to get everything out to give him a fresh start, get him on good meds to soften things up and see long term if this colon is going to go back into shape and move, it was not moving anything! He has no idea what caused this or how long it was going on. My heart has been breaking and as hard as this is, I am reaching out to everyone to provide this opportunity for any monetary donation, it is very appreciated and thoughtful. I know these are very hard times for all of us, trust me I do know. It's difficult for me to ask for help. I am a single lady that finds great pleasure in my furry baby! This was not an expense I could have imagined having this soon. I've had cats my whole life and If I could I would help care for more. I also know God is so good, I trust him, he has been good to me, now I need to trust him more; I know he will get us through this. I knew me and Tocco were destined to have each other, I could see it in his beautiful loving eyes. It truly was love at first sight. If you are so inclined, could you help us out with any amount. I so appreciate you taking the time to read my story. God bless each who is able to give, most of all please pray for Tocco's recovery and for the Lord to touch his organs and restore them to the working condition that God intended. He gave us dominion over our babies, to watch & care for them. With Love, Melissa & Tocco.
