Hi, my name is Christina Hall, and I'm starting this fundraiser to support my very close friends, the Ortiz family, and their sweet dog, Pablo, who is currently facing a serious medical emergency. This fundraiser
is with the permission of Lindsey & Landon Ortiz. We appreciate all of the love and support!
Pablo is a rescue who quickly became a foster fail for the Ortiz family two years ago, bringing so much light into their lives after the loss of their previous pup. He is truly one of a kind — a lover of human cuddles, dog snuggles with his sister Rita, and a source of joy to everyone he meets. Lindsey even had plans this coming month for Pablo to earn his Canine Good Citizen certification so he could begin therapy work.
What seemed like a small weight gain suddenly turned into a medical emergency, leading to surgery to remove Pablo’s spleen and a large mass. While his family had some funds set aside for emergencies, the bills have quickly grown to several thousand dollars, creating difficult limitations on what comes next.
Pablo made it through surgery without known complications, which was already against the odds with anemia and him being a bulldog. After returning home, his family has been anxiously waiting on pathology results to determine whether the mass was benign. In the meantime, Pablo has had to return to the vet after refusing to eat and showing a significant rise in his white blood cell count, requiring additional medications and possibly further hospitalization.
Pablo’s family believes he still has many good years left if they can get past this hurdle. They are hopeful, praying for answers, and deeply grateful for any support — whether through donating or sharing — as they continue to fight for Pablo.
