Love and Care for Gus in His Cancer Battle

My Name is Taylor, My Sister Kelsey and I are hoping to raise money to help pay on our dog Gus's cancer treatments.

Gus's story-
In 2018 Gus was adopted from a pound for $10 by Kelsey, he had been rescued from a condemned home. He was 3 years old, covered in a skin infection, skinny as could be, and skiddish. He was brought home after being fixed and has been spoiled with anything he could want since. He has beds in every room of our home, toys of all sizes and squeaky amounts, his own couch, kitty, and cookies of every kind. He is a sweet, short, chill "little" guy. Who has been almost nothing but great these 7 years we have been blessed with him. His insatiable need for car rides docks his score a little.

In October of 2025 we found out Gus (A.K.A Goose Man) had lymphoma. We started treatments right away with help of our family and credit cards. As of January 20th of this year we found out we will have to cease treatments for him. Unfortunately they have stopped working. We did the big treatment plan first that was almost $1,000 a visit and after finding out his lymphnodes were growing instead of shrinking we changed courses. The second treament plan was cheaper and a little more spaced out but still roughly $800 a visit. Once it was all said and done we are left thankful we have more time with Gus, but we have almost $8,000 in debt we are struggling to keep up with paying.

When we first decided to try this route we knew it would be a long, expensive, and possibly fruitless battle but we had to try. We are praying to be lucky enough and have a couple more months with Gus, taking him to the creek, hiking, and all the car rides he can handle. But are just trying to stay positive and be thankful for the time we have.

I plan to find ways to consolidate my debt but until May I cannot. After having to get a roof on our home in 2024 and my sister hitting a deer and totalling her car in November 2025 my options for loans are tapped out.

If we can raise even a small amount to make it easier to pay up Gus's treatments quicker we would be overjoyed. We know everyone is hurting and struggling right now so we cannot thank you enough for even taking the time to read about Gus's and our story.
