Lou's Mission to Walk Again

On Saturday February 20th, my sweet dog Lupini (Lou) lost the ability to use his back legs entirely. In the middle of the night Lou was crying while wiggling and trying to stand, with no success. Preceding this event, Lou had not experienced any kind of trauma or toxicosis - which leaves us bewildered at a possible cause. My roommate, girlfriend and I rushed Lou to the CSU veterinary emergency hospital, where it was stated that Lou's condition is overall a mystery. In order to properly find out how to treat Lou's condition we need MRI and CT scans. These diagnostic tools range from $3,500 - $5,000. That price range does not even include a plan of treatment along with added costs. I am pleading for help so that I can get him properly diagnosed and begin his rehabilitation and treatment. As of now, he has to be lifted with a towel to eat, walk, and go to the bathroom. Lou is in desperate need of assistance as the possible long-term repercussions could prove to be irreparable.

Lou was rescued from Larimer Humane Society in September of 2020. Since then, he has enriched my life in countless ways. He is kind, sensitive, playful, adventurous, and most importantly the most loyal companion.  I hope that we can find a solution to whatever is afflicting him and bring back the goofy, excitable dog that I have come to love so dearly.

I sincerely appreciate any contribution towards helping him regain his ability to walk, run, and be himself again. Thank you so much.
