Our dad is one of the strongest there is and the past year or two have really proven it. Many of you who know him may refer to him as Dr. Lou. He has spent his entire life caring for not only his own family, but everyone else that is in need of medical attention. He is the most patient, caring, and honest man there is. He is an exceptional father, husband, brother, and friend. Our dad has ALWAYS put others before himself without hesitation, which is one of the many reasons we have set up the Go Fund Me. Shane & I want to be able to give back to him and help in any way possible to kick this illness in the butt.
Our dad has been fighting ALS for quite some time now. The strength and muscle loss started out slowly, but recently has progressed faster. This disease has affected his ability to do even the small tasks in life, but most importantly his ability to work hard and help the patients within his practice who also need it. There is not a known cure for ALS; however, my dad has the opportunity to undergo Stem Cell Treatments, which may slow this aggressive disease, improve strength and therefore provide some independance in daily life. The treatment would take place in either Florida or California, so the cost and travel expenses are very high. We need your help. My brother and I would love to help my dad in any way we can and also take the stress off of our amazing family members who have done so much for him, especially our Stepmom, Kathi! The sooner that we can contribute to this treatment means the sooner that my dad can hopefully start seeing improvement!
We would be so appreciative to get even the smallest donation! The funds will all go to his stem cell treatment and travel expenses. If we are lucky enough to recieve more than he would need, we would put the rest towards his other medical expenses.
Our love and thanks to anyone that is able to contribute!
