Notfall-Hilfe für Lourensa und ihre Familie

Lourensa sollte gerade ihr vier Monate altes Baby im Arm halten. Stattdessen kämpft sie im Krankenhaus gegen T-lymphoblastisches Lymphom (T-LBL), eine aggressive Krebserkrankung, die eine intensive Chemotherapie notwendig macht. Aktuell kann sie ihre Kinder aufgrund der Behandlung und der strengen Schutzmaßnahmen nicht sehen. Eine junge Mutter ist von ihren eigenen Kindern getrennt, um zu überleben.

Während Lourensa um ihr Leben kämpft, droht für ihre Familie zu Hause alles gleichzeitig zusammenzubrechen.

Aufgrund der bereits gestarteten und über Monate andauernden Chemotherapie ist Lourensa nicht mehr in der Lage, ihre Tätigkeit als Tagesmutter und Podologin auszuüben, was mit erheblichen Einnahmeausfällen verbunden ist.

Ihr Ehemann kann selbst aus gesundheitlichen Gründen aktuell nicht regulär arbeiten und befindet sich im Prozess einer Berufsunfähigkeitsabsicherung. Gleichzeitig trägt er die komplette Verantwortung für zwei kleine Kinder, organisatorische Kliniktermine und den Versuch, die Existenz der Familie zu sichern.

Durch die Krankheit fallen zentrale Arbeits- und Einkommensquellen weg. ⁠Gleichzeitig laufen betriebliche Fixkosten und Abgaben weiter. Die finanzielle Situation ist dadurch aktuell existenzbedrohend.

Diese Familie wird aktuell auf mehreren Ebenen gleichzeitig getroffen: gesundheitlich, emotional und wirtschaftlich.

Wir dürfen nicht zulassen, dass sie zusätzlich zur Krankheit auch noch ihr Zuhause, ihre Existenz und ihre Stabilität verlieren.

Help Lourensa – A Mother Is Fighting Cancer

Lourensa should be holding her four-month-old baby in her arms. Instead, she is lying in a hospital bed fighting T-lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL), an aggressive form of cancer that requires intensive chemotherapy. Due to treatment and strict protective measures, she is currently unable to see her children. A young mother is separated from her own kids in order to survive.

While Lourensa is fighting for her life, everything at home is at risk of falling apart at the same time.

Due to the chemotherapy that has already begun and will continue for several months, Lourensa is no longer able to work as a childminder and podiatrist, resulting in significant loss of income.

Her husband is also unable to work regularly due to his own health condition and is currently in the process of applying for disability insurance support. At the same time, he is carrying the full responsibility for two small children, hospital logistics, and trying to keep the family financially afloat.

Due to the illness, key sources of work and income have fallen away while ongoing business expenses and obligations continue, making the current financial situation existentially threatening.

This family is being hit on multiple levels at once: medically, emotionally, and financially.

We cannot allow them to lose their home, their stability, and their livelihood on top of this devastating illness.
