In May 2009 my mom, Lourdes, was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. PAH is a very rare disease with only 20,000 Americans getting diagnosed yearly. Recently, her condition has significantly worsened. We are awaiting a lung transplant but we have been faced with a problem. As of September 1, 2015, her position at work was terminated and she lost her insurance to be able to continue testing for the transplant. No hospital will accept her for the transplant without insurance or outside support. At 20 years old, this was such a hard challenge for me to be faced with as I cannot imagine losing my mom to a terrible disease. She does not want to give up her fight and is trying her hardest to continue her fight. $15,000 is a huge amount that my mom and I cannot afford at this moment so we need your help to help us out. The money will be used to pay for her private insurance cost and any other expenses that we may encounter. Not many people know this but throughout the two years that the PAH was worsening slowly, we have actually struggled financially to get her medications and medical treatment. It's a huge cost and we can no longer afford it out of pocket. No matter how much you donate whether it be $5 or $500 it will be appreciated so much! Please help us out. May God Bless You Always and thank you all so much for being in our lives. We cannot thank you for your love and support throughout these stressful and scary months. THANK YOU!
