Louisville Indie Films Zine Launch

My name is Emmett Swann, and I’m the founder of the Louisville Indie Films Instagram page. As a local writer and director, I’ve seen firsthand how many passionate filmmakers in our community go unnoticed. That’s why I’m launching the Louisville Indie Films Zine—a free magazine dedicated to sharing the stories, projects, and events that make our city’s indie film scene so vibrant.

The zine will feature filmmaker interviews, release spotlights, coverage of local events, and articles about the art and craft of filmmaking. Our goal is to replicate the energy and inclusivity of our online page, but on a larger scale, giving more creators a platform to be seen and celebrated. With a dedicated team of editors and designers working in-house, we’re committed to producing a high-quality publication that truly reflects Louisville’s creative spirit.

Funds raised will go directly toward printing and distributing the zine. We plan to keep our distribution local and relevant, placing copies in storefronts, hosting booths at film events, and offering an online version for those who can’t access it in person. By supporting this fundraiser, you’ll help us shine a light on the filmmakers who make Louisville’s indie scene so special, and ensure their stories reach the audiences they deserve.
