Louise's Battle with Cancer: Your Support Needed

Hi everyone my name is Treeana, the reason I'm setting up this gofundme is to help cover expenses for medical treatments and arrangements for funeral expenses that will be happening in the very near future.

My mother Louise got diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer and stage 4 non-alcoholic cirrhosis in December of 2024. She has been living with my family and I since June 2024. We noticed a decline in her health in September and urged her to go get seen my her primary. They sent her for test after test. They finally sent her to a liver specialist because of a low white blood cell count. They did an MRI of her abdomen and weeks later informed us that she had cirrhosis. This was a shock to see that it was already at Stage 4. They continued to run other tests and imaging to make sure there wasn't anything else. In November they found a mass on her pancreas. We went to UNMH and they did a biopsy on the mass. Shortly after the appointment we got a call from a cancer specialist and they told us that she had Pancreatic cancer. It was a waiting game for almost a month to be seen by an actual cancer specialist. When we finally were seen on December 17th, the doctor told us that she was at Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Unfortunately for my mother, there is no cure for her cancer. The Doctor suggested Chemotherapy to try to lengthen her life by as much as possible. She is 2 treatments in to Chemo. The first round caused her to lose 6 pounds in just 2 weeks. We had to take a break in between treatments to give her time to gain her strength back. Due to her cirrhosis and her cancer, her diet is very strict so she's not really able to eat many things. This makes it extremely hard for her to keep the strength she needs and to put any weight back on. Before she was diagnosed she weighed 180 pounds, now she is 142. She's lost over 40 pounds in just a few months.

I hate to have to think about this but I know her time is very limited. I wanted to start pre-planning her funeral arrangements ahead of time so hopefully I can have them paid off and taken care of before her time actually comes. My dad passed away in 2022 and that came as a surprise, the cost to give him his funeral was ridiculous and left a financial burden on us. I don't want that to be the case this time around. That's why I'm asking for any help that we can get during this hard time.

This would also help cover other expenses for things that she currently needs that her insurance doesn't cover. Things such as adult diapers, Ensure drinks (These are one of the few things she's able to consume), things to help her get around our house/bathroom more easily. Our house isn't Handicap accessible so we have to find other ways to help her with getting in and out of our shower/tub. Also co-payments for her Chemotherapy and other doctors appointments.

My family loves my mom endlessly, we will always do everything in our power for her. Sometimes everyone needs a little bit of help so that's why I'm making this gofundme. We appreciate anything and everything that we can get, even if it's just a share. Anything helps!
