In August 2025 we received the catastrophic news that our friend, partner, daughter, Lou was diagnosed with an agressive Grade 4 Glioma/Glioblastoma (brain cancer) after discovering a large tumour.

The tumour was removed, but Lou has been told that it will return because of its agressive nature. Its just a matter of when. There is apparently no cure for this.
The average statistic at which it is likely to take a life, makes us all want to throw up we can't let this happen without a fight.
She will be starting chemo and radiotherapy soon.

Lou has battled years of excruciating endometriosis with 2 major open abdominal surgeries and infertility, to then get a totally unrelated agressive brain cancer at 39 years old is so unfair.

Despite her own trauma with endometriosis, Lou has spent a lot of time advocating and raising awareness for others with this condition from pre-diagnosis to treatment. Her support has really made a difference to others.

Adam, Lou’s partner is constantly researching different therapies and treatments in different countries and top hospitals in an attempt to help keep this horrible cancer at bay for as long as possible.

Lou has asked if anyone knows of any medical therapies, holistic therapies, clinical trials or expert doctors in this field then please get in touch. You can email me at becky-[email redacted].uk

Lou’s mission is to try whatever it takes, and go wherever it takes, just to try and preserve life for as long as possible.

The NHS are only able to offer standardised treatments, which are only available to buy a bit more time. Lou and Adam have found private treatments available worldwide, including Germany, but they come at a huge cost, this could run into hundreds of thousands as she may need multiple visits, so we have to push for as much as we can.

Lou has been feeling at rock bottom, but is determined to try and get some sparkle back✨️ she is an inspiration to us all.

Shortly after surgery, Lou had a return to hospital for a week with a brain fluid leak and had to undergo a lumber-puncture for pressure on the brain, and treatment for chemical meningitis.

Our Lou has the most infectious laugh and a smile that can light up a room. She is super intelligent and has a filthy sense of humour. She adores animals, especially her cats Dave and Pob and she loves history.
Lou has given over 20 years of her life to healthcare, looking after other people and making them feel cared for and safe. The least we can do is attempt to do the same for her.

Please donate what you can to make this fight a little bit easier by taking the edge off any financial challenges the family may face.

She may even just want to buy herself some designer shoes, but who cares if it makes her happy. After all she’s been through she deserves all the support we can muster.

PLEASE HELP US FIND A WAY TO BUY LOU MORE TIME

NB
This page has been created by friends of the family, not at the families request. They want me to make it very clear that whilst they are incredibly grateful for any kindness and generosity, they would never ask for financial help.
