On December 22 we lost part of our father. Our Father and Husband Louis Charles Ybanez suffered a massive stroke. A month later, we received the news that he would never speak or walk again. His brain suffered too much damage. We later transferred him to an assisted living facility where he received 24-hour care. In this new condition my father was more susceptible to infection and illness and a few scares along the way proved that to be true.

 

On September 6th he was rushed to the ER, his breathing was labored, and his body temperature was above 103 degrees. He was battling a life-threatening infection. At 4:08am September 7th we said our goodbyes.

 

Most of you might not know Louis the husband and father, but rather “Lou Charles” the entertainer. The lead singer of the Lou Charles band, Country Byways, and many more. Louis was an entertainer at heart and knew how to make people laugh, both on and off stage. To honor our father with hopes to cover our cost, we came up with the idea of reprinting the “Country Byways” band shirt pictured above. All proceeds will go to medical and memorial expenses.
