On Wednesday, October 12th, Louis Woodyard was the victim of a senseless act of gun violence and is currently in the hospital being treated for his injuries.
I'm Roy Smith, a friend and musical partner of Louis since 1975. Louis is very strong and we hope for his rapid recovery from these injuries and a return to his normal life. We don't know how long his recuperation may take, or whether his employment and musical gigs will be affected.
Louis is a thoughtful and talented man who has helped many people open their minds to injustice while pleasing their senses with his percussion work.
He will certainly need some financial help in getting his life back to normal after this ordeal.
