Hello, my name is Monica Barron.
With a heavy heart, I announce that my beloved brother-in-law of 39 years, Louis Phillip Rioux, Jr., has passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Louis had a long battle with several serious health issues due to a horrific accident at his workplace in 2016 ( Click Here for News Story ).
Louis Rioux was an incredibly loving man, a wonderful husband, a fantastic father of 7, a very loving grandfather of 11, and a great-grandfather of 1. We are all going to miss him terribly!! Rest in paradise, Louis! Unfortunately, my sister Regina Castillo-Rioux was unprepared for his passing this soon; therefore, I am helping to raise money to pay for Funeral/Memorial expenses and any outstanding medical bills. Until this accident, Louis was the primary provider of his household, and due to the seriousness of his disabilities, my sister’s full-time job became caring for him 24/7. As you can imagine, it’s been a constant financial struggle. Louis endured several surgeries, in and out of the hospital, had emergency visits, etc. He was 100% permanently disabled and 100% dependent upon my sister’s and his family's care. The doctor recently informed my sister Louis had developed “Stage 4 Vascular Dementia,” which was brought on by the head trauma he suffered six years ago, and she knew her time with him was limited. Still, she thought she had about three more years left with him. However, we are all so grateful that we were able to have these past six years because we are very aware we could have lost him on that Monday, September 26, 2016, the day of his accident.
My sister Regina is one of the most generous and loving people you will ever meet, and there isn’t anything she wouldn't do for others; even when she doesn’t have the means to help, Regina will find a way to help in any way she can. Therefore, I humbly ask that if you can help Regina during this time, your gift will be very much appreciated. My prayer is that my sister can give her husband a proper funeral and hopefully pay any outstanding medical expenses not covered by insurance (which were plenty); your gift will be very much appreciated. I would like for my sister to be able to put her husband to rest and start healing and rebuilding her life.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
