Hello, my name is Louis.

I am 14 years old and have been selected to represent Essex at the World Scout Jamboree from July to August 2023 in South Korea.

There will be around 40,000 Scouts from across the world taking part in this trip of a lifetime for three weeks, varying from over 167 other countries.

This incredible experience happens every four years which means if you are lucky enough to be selected then you are only able to participate once in your scouting journey. I will be able to experience different cultures, religions and build life-long friendships from all over the world.

We will learn about how we can take action on tackling global challenges such as the environment, sustainability and equality around the world whilst also having the time of our lives doing different activities; abseiling, canoeing, zip wiring, hiking, camping - to name a few!

I have to raise up to £4000 to be able to participate, so far we have raised £1350 in bake sales and helping out around my local community. I still have £2650 to go!

This money will cover the cost of me preparing for and attending the World Scout Jamboree, as well as enabling Scouts from developing countries to attend this amazing event too.

I will be also using my time doing jobs for family/friends/local community in any way I can, such as dog walking, cleaning cars, cutting grass etc so if you have any jobs for me to do or know of someone that could benefit from my time and help to sponsor my fundraiser then please let me know, that would be greatly appreciated.

I am incredibly thankful for this opportunity and can't wait to experience such a life-changing event.
