Louis Needs Your Help for His Recovery

Hi! Our names are Ashley and Jack. We are mom and dad to Louis—a grey tux cat.

He recently injured his leg after being curious about something high up on a shelf. He was not waking around and we noticed him start to limp. That being said, we had to rush him to the vet and he most likely has a broken leg.

This is very difficult for us as two young adults—one a recent graduate. It is an estimated $1,000 for exams, x-rays, and more to just start. He most likely has a fracture or broken bone.

UPDATE: Louis has a fracture in his femur. He has to get a common procedure for male cats called Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO). It is recommended on both legs since he’s 10 months old and his other leg is likely to fracture too. Currently, we are being quoted $6,000-8,000. We plan to call around, but any help would be appreciated.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Lewis was dropped off at a facility our friend works at in Illinois! It was a bit of a drive, but he did so good. He’ll be getting surgery on January 8th. We’re hoping everything will come out to $3,000-4,000 max (the X-rays, meds, surgery, exams, etc.). Thank you all so much!
