Shortly after starting his great job with The University of Mississippi, Louis suffered a dire medical emergency. 
He was hospitalized and through the miracle of science and prayer and all the love and support of his family and friends, he is expected to make a full recovery. 
In order to keep his position at UM, he was placed on un-paid medical leave. 
This fundraiser is an effort to fill and patch the financial hole created during the weeks he was not able to receive a paycheck and give him the opportunity to return to work without the burden of unpaid bills and allow him some room to get back into the swing of things.
