LOUIS DAVIS, JR. ("Buddy")

For those who may not be aware or for those awaiting an update concerning our cousin LOUIS DAVIS, JR (aka Buddy) who has been suffering from mobility challenges for years using a wheelchair after a recent fall...

A few weeks ago, in the middle of the night, Louis was snatched out of an apartment fire and rushed to the hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. We are all thankful that God spared his life, yet the fire left him with only the pajamas on his back and his wallet and cellphone which were within reach on the nightstand. Needless to say, everything was destroyed, including his wheelchair, personal effects, legal docs, mementos, clothing…. and a place to call home!

After hospital intubation, Louis was moved to a nursing facility to recover from the smoke inhalation. This facility is releasing him soon with housing still not yet secured.

As family, whether in blood, professional association, church affiliation, schoolmate, friend and more, we are Calling Everyone to action to help our cousin in this uncertain season. Louis has devoted his life to the Arts since he was a child, his list of affiliations is extensive and includes but is not limited to: Morgan State University Alumni, Moses Hogan Chorale, Washington National Opera Chorus, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, Inc. and guest conductor and soloist for numerous area churches and schools.
