Most of you know my brother, Louis Berry. Hes been a large part of the community in Jasper County from law enforcement, contributing time to the local museum, fundraisers and just his family and friends as he is needed by them....he always shows up for us. He was a longtime resident of Kirbyville as he attended school and moved to Jasper for many years from his late teens. He is no longer a resident but makes consistent visits to his church and stays in contact with many  friends and family. He is going through a tough time as he and the family are having a battle as he was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Although the doctors are concerned it looks to be optimistic, however too soon to tell. He has many Dr appointments coming up as well as scans, biopsies, and small procedures leading up to a big surgery the end of this month. Being out of work and the over whelming medical bills can be a burden hard to carry going through this scary time in their lives. I have set up a go fund me account on his behalf to help with living and medical expenses from him being out of work and medical bills and expenses are already accumulating with many more to come. Any donations no matter the size would be so appreciated . Please, at this time, respect their privacy with limited phone calls and messages. The family is going through their initial shock and trying to settle in to what they could be facing over the next few months. We know without a doubt that God is here to provide and heal and our faith is very strong. Louis has recently rededicated his life to the Lord and so one major blessing has already been given to this family.
