Help Louie Run Again – ACL Surgery Fund
Meet Louie – a goofy, sweet 5.5-year-old pit mix with a huge heart and a serious love for chasing tennis balls. I adopted Lou when she was just 4 months old, after searching for the right rescue pup for months. From the second she crawled into my lap at the shelter, I knew she was the one. She's been by my side through every up and down since then, and I truly can't imagine life without her.
A few days ago, while doing what she loves most—chasing a ball—Louie tore her ACL in her right rear leg. Since then, she’s been struggling just to get around the house, and even short walks have become painful. Seeing her lose her spark has been heartbreaking.
The good news: Louie can make a full recovery with a TPLO surgery. The procedure is scheduled for July 18th at Humane Colorado (formerly the Dumb Friends League), and it will restore her mobility and let her get back to living her best life—running, hiking, playing, and adventuring like she always has.
The bad news: The surgery and related medical costs total $3,900. That includes:
Pre/post-op X-rays and bloodwork
Anesthesia and surgical monitoring
IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain meds
A long-lasting localized pain block (Nocita)
Post-surgery medication to go home with
Asking for help is never easy, but I want to do everything I can to give Lou the care she needs. If you're able to donate—no matter the amount—it would mean the world to both of us. Your support will directly help Louie walk, run, and play again without pain.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of Louie’s healing journey. You're making a world of difference.
