Hey everyone,
Sunday night we took Louie to the vet since he was rapidly breathing. They found nothing wrong with him. They did chest X-rays and physical examinations. He has a history of urinary tract issues so i'm not sure why this wasn't addressed on Sunday. Monday comes and he is lifeless. We brought him in and come to find out he is obstructed and his potassium levels are extremely high. As the days go on, (since I agreed to hospitalize him) he was getting better. The day he was about to be discharged they call me and tell me that he has kidney stones and needs a cystotomy. I'm not sure why this is happening and they won't give me a straight answer. How can he go from being healthy/getting better one second and then obstructed again. I'm so confused and hurt and do not want to give up. We have already spend $4450 and they are asking $4,000-$5,000 for the surgery. Please help Louie come home safely. As I sit here and cry my eyes out, I cannot imagine how terrified he must be. Anything helps.
