WHDR is Helping Louie-Hit by Car Broken Front Legs
Donation protected
Willing Hearts was asked to help a Dalmatian in Virginia that was hit by a car!
Louie's story starts here. Louie saw the orthopedic surgeon this afternoon. His hips are ok but weak. He is not a candidate for amputation because the left leg would not support him. Both front legs need surgery. The right leg has to be done first. The left leg can be done after the wound heals. The left leg looks less traumatic, but it's not, The ligament is completely annihilated. Where the joint rotates is broken. Fusion of the joint is difficult and time consuming and plates etc.. The doctor said he is fixable with excellent results. The surgery will be done at Pinnacle Vet Hospital in PA. The cost is $6,000 for each leg. $12,000 total. We currently have $3,000 thru donations and our bank account for the right leg. We have applied for a rescue discount through them as well. We still need 9,000. Donations through Paypal can be made to dalmatianrescue at comcast.net check or money order to WHDR PO Box 11 Royersford Pa 19468
Thank you for your continued support
