Louie and Debbie Survived Hurricane Ian

My parents Louie and Debbie Latka survived Hurricane Ian. Thankfully they were able to secure some personal belongings (what fit in the car) to flee their house in Fort Myers and seek shelter on the other side of the State. Hurricane Ian ripped through Florida, leaving parts of the state underwater. Hurricane Ian was a large and extremely destructive Category 4 Atlantic hurricane that was the deadliest hurricane to strike the state of Florida since the 1935. The epicenter of this storm was Fort Myers.

Louie and Debbie didn't know what was going to happen to their house and everything in it, as they weathered out the storm in safety. Little did they know it was going to WEEKS before the Island was even accessible. Finally the trip home after hotels and weeks of worries they discovered their house had survived better then some others in the neighborhood. But the damage was done. It's been almost 4 months and they are sill not home yet. They lost everything in the house. Not even the bathrooms, showers and kitchen were salvageable. It's a complete rebuild for the inside. New plumbing, electrical, walls, toilets etc...

Please come together and help Louie and Debbie Latka build back. It's been a Rollercoaster of emotions and a fight from the beginning. Theirs spirits are high the are in good hopes and pray every day. The goal is to be able to move in furniture and live the house by mid February.
