Lough Derg Search & Recovery diver service

Lough Derg Sub Aqua Club provides a completely voluntary Search & Recovery service, both to the local area and on a regional and national basis. This service is self-funded, with all members paying for their own equipment, training and servicing of equipment.

Our Search & Recovery divers regularly take part in missing person searches. We also retrieve the likes of lost valuable items, boat engines, moorings, etc, for people on Lough Derg.

Lough Derg SAC is active in the local community and has organised underwater cleanups of the lakeside amenity sites of Dromineer and Garrykennedy. This involved divers removing rubbish and debris from the water at these popular areas.

We also provide boat cover to other clubs and individuals involved in water-based activities, such as triathlons, rowing and sailing.

All contributions towards the cost of providing these activities are very gratefully appreicated.
