Hi, I'm Louana. I'm generally a fairly self-sufficient woman/mom/teacher with an "I've got this" mentality. Unfortunately, right now, I do NOT "got this."

Recently, I was diagnosed with a Spinal Extrusion, which is as painful as it sounds. It has sent me to the ER by ambulance more than once, and I've spent the past several months seeing doctors, getting X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and going to physical therapy. Surgery is scheduled in February! 

Because I've already used up every bit of my paid time off, any future appointments or recovery days will be unpaid. As the main income earner in my household, that's terrifying. Between medical bills, travel for appointments, and normal life expenses, things are adding up faster than I can manage.

I am normally very uncomfortable asking for help (especially monetary help), but this situation has humbled me enough to realize that I can't push through this alone.
