Our friend, colleague, family, Lou Occhicone, recently lost his entire home in the devastating Nor’easter storm and flooding that impacted the East Coast this past weekend.

Thankfully, Lou and his two beloved dogs are safe. They escaped just in time before rising floodwaters sparked a fire that tragically destroyed his home, leaving nothing but ashes behind. Along with his home and all of his belongings, Lou lost a lifetime of irreplaceable memories.

While no fundraiser can undo what happened, we hope this GoFundMe can help ease some of the financial burden, shock, and uncertainty Lou will face in the days and weeks ahead. Most importantly, we want Lou to know that he is not facing this alone.

We often hear that it takes a village. This is one of those moments when we have the opportunity to show exactly what that means.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. Every donation will help Lou meet his immediate needs, replace essential belongings, begin rebuilding his life, and find some sense of stability after such a devastating loss.

To know Lou is to know a man of incredible generosity, someone who is always the first to lend a hand, show up for a friend, or give you the shirt off his back. Today Lou is the one who needs our help.

If you’re able to donate, share this fundraiser, or simply keep Lou and his dogs in your thoughts, it will mean more than you know.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for helping Lou begin to rebuild.

With gratitude and heartfelt thanks,

Lou’s Village
