Friends and Family,
Many of you have asked how you can help during this unexpected and difficult time. Your prayers and unanticipated generosity have been overwhelming, and I know Chris and Katie are forever grateful. There has been mention of food and hotel rooms, among other gestures. Fortunately, the Ronald McDonald House has been gracious enough to give Chris and Katie a room in their facility equipped with free breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Although they sleep at the hospital with Lottie, it gives them a place to shower and reset.
While her condition is a trial and error of various medications, there is no way of predicting how long she might be in the hospital, and although it seems irrelevant, how much her hospital bills might be. They have a long road ahead of them with many medical expenses even beyond the hospital visit. After some thought and consideration of everyone's incredibly kind offers, I believe this is truly where they will need the most help.
It is critical to me (and I know it would be to them) that no one feel obligated in any way to contribute. I would simply like to create an avenue of doing so for those who would like to help them recover.
I am not friends with all of Chris and Katie's Facebook and other social media friends, so please feel free to share this link with anyone who is interested in donating.
If you have any questions at all feel free to reach out to me anytime.
