Lott Volunteer Fire Department

In the last month, Lott VFD has had a couple of unexpected repairs to make on their trucks. One for Engine 1 resulting in a bill for 1,600$ and then around 500$ for Brush 1. And now Rescue 1 wasn't running right and after taking it to the repair shop we were notified that the bill could be close to 4,500$. All of this cuts into our budget for the year. We only get around 5,000 per year in tax subsidies from the County. That leaves us depending on fundraisers and donations to make up the rest of our budget. While we can occasionally get grants and the City helps us purchase trucks when we need to replace them, we can be short on cash for maintenance, repairs and fuel.
