Donation protected
Lost Pets of Amarillo currently has multiple animals in our care that desperately need help.
1. Mama Dog and her puppies. Mama Dog and her newborn babies were saved from being put down at the pound in October and have been struggling with distemper. Her puppies are sick also and they need continued vet care for secondary infection due to the distemper. Mama Dog is doing better but her puppies still need their antibiotics. Mama Dog and her puppies have all had their serum (distemper treatment) injections.
2. Gypsy and her puppies. Gypsy and her newborn babies were saved from being put down at the pound in October and have also been struggling with distemper. Her puppies are doing well but they needed their serum injections to help prevent it if we can. Gypsy is struggling but we are doing everything we can for her. She has antibiotics for secondary infection, IV medications, pain meds, and a combination of other meds to keep her comfortable by helping with the side effects of the distemper. She needs her continued meds so she can be as comfortable as possible and prayers in the mean time to be able to fight this! Thanks to the donations so far from our wonderful supporters. Gypsy and her puppies have all had their serum (distemper treatment) injections also but we still owe the vet $400 and can't continue treatment without more donations.
3. Cherry and her babies. Saved from the pound. Healthy so far! Will all need spay/neuter, shots, and microchips so that they can find their forever homes.
3. We also have several others that are in foster care that need spay/neuter, shots, and microchips.
