Lost their son, brother and home

Dear friends,
We are asking for you to graciously help a family who has recently been stricken with significant tragedy. After being homeless for nearly a year, one of our local families with a student in high school and another in middle school was finally able to find a place to live in the middle of February. On Saturday, February 27 they received the terrible news that the oldest son had made the heartbreaking decision to end his own life. This action resulted in this amazing young man who had been battling depression in this last year to end up in the ICU, braindead and on life support.

The family immediately left the state to tend to the oldest son and oldest brother of these young kids. On March 4 they made the difficult decision to take him off of life support and he passed away at 9:36am. Adding insult to injury, the family returned to their new home to find out that they would not be able to remain in this newfound house due to personal disagreements with the landlord.

There is no question that this last year has been very difficult on many. It is truly unfortunate that some feel that the only way to end their suffering is to take their own lives. This causes an immense pain to those individuals who so dearly love and want to help those suffering, in this situation a pain made only worse by the helplessness experienced when finding they have no home to return to. Please help do what you can to support this suffering family in their great time of need. Can we show these impressionable young children the power of a strong, supportive community?

Sheamus was a warm-hearted young man left to fight a terrible monster. Can you help make sure the little siblings who looked up to him so dearly won't have to endure greater suffering? We are hoping to raise enough to get the family back on their feet with some housing options.

Understanding the challenges of the pandemic, if it is too hard to donate financially, the family could also benefit from donations of clothing and food if those are available.
