Lost our Mom, Sarah to ALS, Family Needs Support
Donation protected

In January 2018, after a full year of increasing symptoms, countless hospital visits and consults, Sarah was formally diagnosed with ALS at the age of 63. On July 1, 2022, after four years of at-home hospice care, Sarah succumbed to the disease.
This fund is set up for Sarah’s family during a time of unfathomable heartache, to help them navigate through grief and acceptance. This fund will help with funeral expenses, and incidental medical expenses.
As one can imagine, the diagnosis has turned Sarah’s life upside down, and brought our entire family to our knees. Though heartbroken, our family has found strength through gratitude, and we are humbled by the generosity of those around us.
What is ALS?
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a terminal neurodegenerative disease that robs people of their ability to move, speak, eat, and breathe, usually in less than five years. The causes of ALS remain elusive, and there are no effective treatment options. To learn more about this life-changing diagnosis, please visit https://iamals.org/what-is-als/.
