Lost our family center - Josie Chico

Hi, my name is Kari Quintana. We have just experienced the ultimate heartbreak in our family. My Sister-in-law Josie (Quintana) Chico suffered a sudden medical emergency on Friday, August 19th. Unfortunately, this resulted in her death in the early morning hours on Saturday, August 20th. Her beloved husband Bill and four children, Brandon (25), Corina (20), Sophie (17) and Aaron (14) were utterly shocked and devastated. She was the center of their family universe and also helped care for her mom and dad, Margaret & Gabriel Quintana. Feisty, full of laughter, love for her family, a busy stay-at-home mom who kept their universe going and a loving Grandma to Anastacia (2). She was only 51, far too young to leave us all. As it turns out, she unknowingly had diabetes and low potassium levels, which combined with COVID and Anemia. She passed away within hours of collapsing and going to the ER. Bill has been so strong yet utterly heartbroken. He is struggling to move forward without his wife and partner. The children lost their beloved mother and need time and patience to make it through. Her siblings Juanita, Rick, Louis and their families are just as saddened. I have been blessed to know her for 35 years. Bill and Josie’s extended families have circled the family to support, love, help pick up the pieces and relieve the strain wherever possible. Some have asked how they can potentially help.
