Lost my job and facing eviction. Looking for help

Hello ALL - my name is Matthew Knott. I am experiencing some tough times after having recently lost my job and felt to reach out for help. I am the Father of an amazing 2-year-old boy named Makyah and am in a partnership with the wonderful Mother of our child, Lisvett. I have been the sole financial provider for my family since our Son's birth in 2021. At the end of this past September, through no fault of my own, I unfortunately lost my job. It came as a great shock to me and my partner and I have been doing what I can since to help us out, but my loss of income has put us into a predicament.

I have been applying for a full-time job, but nothing has panned out yet. Nonetheless, I will continue searching and applying. Thankfully I was able to pay October's rent and bills, but I have not been able to pay the rent for this month of November. My Landlord has given us two weeks to be able to come up with the rent money or else my family and I will be facing eviction. We are paying $1,800 per month for rent. I'm doing my best to get a full-time job ASAP, and I had applied to receive unemployment benefits, however I recently found out that I was surprisingly and unexpectedly not approved.

My partner is a full-time parent and has done such an amazing job in helping to raise our Son. She is a twin and her twin Sister lives with us as well, along her 2-year-old daughter Mayah. She is a single Mother and has just started working a job under the table, not making much at all but able to cover her needs and provide for her daughter a bit at least. My partner watches her daughter while she is at work. I help as I can and have basically become her Father. It can be so much at times raising two 2-year-olds under the same roof, but through the grace of God we manage.

Along with the rent, I am also seeking help with our bills to hopefully cover them for this month until I am able to land a job and start bringing in some income again. Thankfully we were approved for food stamps, which covers just over half of that monthly expense. My bill expenses otherwise, including the rest of the food for the month, are just under $1,000 each month. My car could use some repairs with the suspension but thankfully it gets us around for now. I had considered doing food delivery with it in the meantime, but with my vehicles current state/condition I simply cannot afford for its issues to worsen and for it to go down.

I'm in completely unfamiliar territory as I've never not had a job while having a family. It's scary at times, stressful and frustrating. I'm having to trust now more than ever that things will work out one way or another, just as they always have. However, I'm human and it is difficult to not get caught up in my fears as they arise with this situation I'm facing. Truly testing times for myself and my relationship as I'm sure you can imagine. As the saying goes.. tough times don't last, but tough people do.

I have dedicated my time here to living a life of service through what I share and help people around the world with via my Facebook page, my family, as well as my community.
